The Soccer 2000 Boot Review Results

 

Thanks to all who participated in our first Boot Review of the Nike CR7 line. We got some great responses from customers on why they like or don't like the CR7 line. All scores are an average of the total number of reviews. Each customer or employee rated the shoe in four different categories. Each category was given a number from one to five, five being the best and one being the worst. The shoes were rated on the upper, fit, out sole and color.

The vapor was found to be too narrow overall. Both customers and employees alike thought the shoe was too tight and therefore uncomfortable. However, customers seemed to like the cleat formation of the out sole, whereas, employees here at the store did not. Most felt like the lack of four cleats in the back caused the shoe to feel unstable. Overall, the shoe is definitely a favorite among our shoppers but a least favorite among the store associates.         Reviews of Mercurial Victory IV CR IC

The indoor victory seemed to be a much better favored shoe. The fit was still narrow but overall most customers seemed to really enjoy the versatile nature of this indoor shoe. The color was a hit with most people because it is different from anything they had ever seen before.

The turf victory by far scored the best between both customers and employees. Both groups liked that the shoe got a bit wider and the fit was not so narrow as the other two styles of the shoe. The color was, of coarse, still favored. The out sole seemed to really be liked by most customers because the full turf bottom that seemed to grip well when running. The shoe maintained its light quality while also improving comfort.

Nike Hi-Vision Boots

Nike has recently released their highly anticipated Hi-Vision line for their boots. These new boots are hard to miss on and off the pitch. Not only does it allow spectators to pick out their favorite player but it allows for coaching staff to pay more attention to the footwork of the player. The new color ways are so electric and different that even the players themselves feel a better sense of pride when wearing these new boots.

The Hypervenom Phantom is covered in the Nike's revolutionary Nike Skin. The boot excels in explosiveness, agility and surpasses competitors with it's passing and striking abilities. The boot is visible from across the pitch with electric purples and lime green covering the outside of the boot.

 
The Mercurial Vapor is still lightweight and sleek. The Vapor has a blinding speed capability as well as exceeds expectations in dribbling, passing and striking. This boot is waterproof allowing its lightweight and non existent feeling to be maintained at all times. The majority of this upper is a vivid purple fading into a deep black on the heel. The shoe is accented by a lime green.
 
The CTR360 Maestri is eye catching and brilliant. Never before has the CTR drawn so much attention. The spectacular lime green upper demands attention on the field. With the CTR you can control the field by having an excellent touch for receiving, dribbling, passing and striking. The CTR360 also allows for outstanding agility which allows all players on the field to utilize this shoe.
 
Last, but certainly not least, is the all leather upper Tiempo Legend. This shoe fits it's name perfectly. The Tiempo sets the tempo of the game. The bright colors of this upper are like nothing we have seen on this shoe before. Players feel more confident wearing this comfortable, yet fierce shoe. Nike Hypervenom - A New Kind of Breed

There has been a huge amount of anticipation for the new Nike Hypervenom Phantom FG's. Now that they have hit stores all over the world the question remains, what makes this new shoe so revolutionary and amazing?

At first glance, the boot looks similar to that of a football cleat. The 3-D texture across the entire upper is what sets this cleat apart from others. The black and orange color combination laid out across the shoe keeps your eye moving along all of its curves and dips. Visually the shoe is very interesting but color alone will not out sell that of its counter part the Nike Mercurial Vapor. The Vapor is known for it's bright colors and eye catching design.

Unlike the Mercurial Vapor, the Hypervenom Phantom is completely wrapped in one piece of Nike's patented Nike Skin. The upper consists of a 3-D dimpled design similar to that of the Vapor, however this design is deeper and wider allowing for a better touch on the ball. The Hypervenom is equipped with Nike's revolutionary All Conditions Control (ACC) so that its play is the same in all conditions, whether its wet or dry. The Hypervenom also has a agility cage uses a band that runs across the foot internally for support and stability when moving laterally. Shortened lacing area and tapered laces allow for a larger area to strike the ball unlike its Mercurial counter part.

The mid-sole of the Hypervenom is simple just like the Mercurial Vapor's. The sock liner has a built in heel cup for a secure fit along with with a perforated, molded sock liner that allows for cushioning from the stud pressure.

The out-sole of the Hypervenom Phantom is made from a nylon chassis with a Pebax base that provides support and a responsive feel. The stud pattern allows for lateral and forward movement that enhances shorter release times. The round studs provide multidimensional traction unlike the Mercurial Vapor whose out-sole was made for forward speed. The toe and mid-foot blades enhance off the toe traction. The heel is designed with four studs to stimulate stability and quick release when moving laterally. 

The Hypervenom is certainly one of a kind. No other shoe on the market provides the advantages that the Hypervenom can offer. The lower versions of the Phantom (Phetal and Phelon) do not have the advantages that the Phantom does. If your a striker that wants an added edge to your game I would check out the Hypervenom line from Nike starting June 22nd, 2013.

adidas miCoach Technology

 

 

Many people ask what exactly the miCoach really is and how it works. If you are a runner you are probably familiar with the technology Nike uses for tracking long distance runs. The technology adidas uses is very similar but has actually been adapted to be used in a soccer game. The miCoach is a small microchip that you can either put in your shoe or attach on the outside. The chip tracks your speed, distance, pace and time played.

 

After you have played a game using your miCoach chip, you can then upload your stats onto your PC or iPhone and share them with your friends through any social media portal through the free miCoach Soccer application. Besides just sharing your stats, you can also compare your results with friends and compete in online games using an avatar that you create. Your avatar is equipped with all of your stats and skills.

 

Some other key features of the miCoach include the "Always awake" mode that activates your miCoach after three strides, replaceable lithium battery that lasts for up to 5 months, and the ability to compare your stats to the pros.

Messi Wins Fourth FIFA Ballon D'Or

On January 6th, 2012 Lionel Messi of Barcelona and Argentina was named this year's winner of the Ballon D'Or award. This was Messi's fourth straight award of being named the best player in the world. Winning the Ballon D'Or for the fourth time put Messi ahead of Zinedine Zidane of France and Christiano Ronaldo of Real Madrid and Portugal.

This isn't the first record Messi has broken this season. In 2012 he scored 91 season goals breaking Gerd Muller's previous record of 85 goals in 1972. “My record stood for 40 years, 85 goals in 60 games, and now the best player in the world has broken it, and I’m delighted for him,” Muller said after Messi surpassed his tally. “He is an incredible player, gigantic.”

“When I was eight years old I never dreamed of being the best,” Messi, 25, said before being presented with the trophy in Zurich. “I don’t dream about it now. The only thing that interests me is to play with the ball and enjoy the game.”

Ronaldo came in second to Messi in the polls taken for the FIFA Ballon D'Or. When asked about how he feels about Messi and competing as the title of best player, Ronaldo responded with, "I do not feel much rivalry, at least not personally. Of course we are here to win, but there is no rivalry. It is just about the football -- that is what counts.”

With Messi playing so well with fellow players Iniesta and Hernandez on Barcelona's offense, he is well on his way to breaking even more season records. Barcelona is one of the main power houses of European soccer with three out of the last four Spanish Championships on their record. In addition, Barcelona has also won twice in the past four seasons in Europe's Champions League.

Messi is a team player and is more focused on his team's success as a whole rather than his personal advances. “This has not been my best year,” Messi said. “I’m more interested in team awards than individual awards. There were other years when we won more trophies, so they were better.”

Despite the discussions over whether or not Messi is truly the best in the world, he is well on his way to becoming a house hold name in the soccer world.

Underprivileged kid's all over the world receive the equipment and uniforms that we donate. To date, over 900,000 pieces of soccer equipment and uniforms have been collected and redistributed around the world through the program with collection sites all over the United States.

In August of 2012 equipment collected from Soccer 2000 and CSA Batch 87 was handed over to Councilor Bimbo Quintos (District 4, Manila). Councilor Quintos shared stories of the poor playing conditions that the children must play in as well as how they share equipment in order to play. Our donations help these kids so that they don't have to do that anymore.

 

Even donations from April of 2012 are making a lasting impression. A simple donation can change a child's life. Donations are taking year round so feel free to drop off any used equipment or apparel you are no longer using.
